Seamless vs sectional gutters — which is better for New Orleans?

Seamless gutters are fabricated on site—often right in your driveway—to fit your roofline with fewer joints, which means fewer places for leaks. Sectional (piece) gutters have more seams. For most New Orleans homes we recommend seamless K-style systems sized for local rainfall; we also install commercial profiles when the building needs them.

What gutter sizes do you install?

We install common residential and commercial profiles, including 5", 6", and 7" K-style, half-round, and commercial systems. Size depends on roof area and downspout layout—we confirm that on the estimate visit.

Do I need gutter covers, or is cleaning enough?

Cleaning removes debris that is already in the trough. Covers reduce how much debris gets in, which cuts how often you need cleaning—especially under oaks and after storm season. Many homeowners use both: covers for prevention, occasional cleaning for downspouts and end caps. We can recommend based on your trees and roof pitch.

Will gutter guards / covers stay on in storms?

Cheap guards that just sit on top can pop off in a big New Orleans storm. We install covers that are locked in tight (secured at multiple points along the run) so they stay put through storm season. How do gutters hold up in Louisiana hurricane / heavy-rain season?

Properly sized seamless gutters, solid hangers, and clear downspouts matter more than brand slogans. Before peak storm season we recommend checking for sagging sections, loose fasteners, and clogged outlets. We install systems built for local rain volume and can inspect or repair existing runs.

Why do my gutters overflow after rain?

Common causes: undersized troughs, clogged downspouts, wrong pitch, missing end caps, or too few outlets for the roof area. After a storm, overflow often means debris or a capacity issue—not always “you need a whole new roof.” An on-site look usually finds the fix.

How long does installation take?

Most residential seamless installs are completed in a focused visit after measuring and fabricating on site (often in the driveway). Timeline depends on linear feet, stories, and whether we add covers, soffit/fascia, or other exterior work. We give you a schedule on the estimate.

Are you licensed and insured?
